"WE ARE A REAL COMMUNITY."

Despite a wide span of ages and circumstances, we have a lot in common. It's fun getting together and hanging out. I'm really happy with my home. The quality of construction is much higher than I expected. It's spacious and quiet-I can't even hear the children who live next door! And you can't beat the location. It's a quick bike ride to work, which is sure a nice benefit.

"IT'S RELAXED AND FUN HERE."

Moving from North Carolina with two children, I expected it to take a while to feel settled and make friends. But after only a month, I've already connected with people. We run into each other outside and end up hanging out. It's relaxed and fun here. Being close to campus was important to us. Paul bikes to work and we like having people over. It's worked out great. We even walk our oldest daughter to her school. It's really easy to be a one-car family here.

"THIS WAS A SMART MOVE FOR US!"

After living in SLO twenty-three years, and owning a different home for ten of those, I can honestly say Bella Montaña is the best neighborhood in town. Our family absolutely loves living here. We have a sense of community that was missing in our last neighborhood. The kids love it and so do we. We've been enjoying things like family movie nights outside with neighbors on Fridays. It's such a great time for all of us.

I think being 100% owner-occupied makes a difference. We want to build lasting relationships with our neighbors. And the location is perfect. I bike to work and still have time to come home and have lunch with my wife and kids. We can walk to restaurants and stores in five or ten minutes, and there are two great elementary schools nearby. This was a smart move for us. It's even nice to know that if we did decide to sell, we wouldn't be hit with the high closing costs of traditional transactions... but that's not in the plan for a long time!

"A GREAT DEAL ON A GREAT PLACE TO LIVE."

Living at Bella Montaña, we really feel that we're part of a community. We visit with neighbors, go to Farmer's Market, enjoy shopping and eating downtown. We also like to walk to campus for shows at the PAC, attend sporting events, and explore Poly Canyon with our dog. When visitors see our brand new home and take in the great views, they can't believe we paid about $150,000 less than the price of comparable homes in San Luis Obispo.

Prior to moving here, we lived in Atascadero. The trip was becoming tiring—for me and my faithful little car. Now I have more time to spend with my wife or get things done. I can even zip home on my bike and grab a quick bite to eat with an experiment underway in the lab!

"OUR FRIENDS ADMIRE THE COMMUNITY."

The opportunity to enter the housing market here drew us to Bella Montaña. Even for two working professionals, it can be difficult to find a home that's comfortably affordable in San Luis Obispo. While others are still watching the market, we're enjoying our new home. It's well built and so close to Cal Poly that I can walk or bike to work.
